The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 1: See Double

The Flight Attendant season 2 episode 1 begins with a brief recap of Cassie’s life after the events of season one – Cassie now lives in LA, is dating a guy named Marco, has taken a part-time job (a civilian asset for the CIA), and is still a full-time stewardess. We catch up with Cassie at a support group sharing her experience of being two days away from being sober for a year. We meet Marc in the opening minutes and take a searing look at Cassie and Marco’s relationship, as well as Marco’s work as a photographer.

The next day, Cassie sets off to meet her master, Benjamin, to give him his next mark to observe and report. Benjamin asks Cassie not to get too involved in her notes, pointing out past incidents that got out of hand, for her own safety. Cassie’s next mark takes her to Germany, where she keeps tabs on said person. However, an obstruction takes place as she watches when two strangers thank her for being their flight attendant, while secretly using a phone to trace something inside Cassie’s purse. Unconscious, Cassie follows her mark to the bar.

At the bar counter, Cassie orders a glass of lime water which is odd and noticeable by its brand. Even though Cassie isn’t allowed to interact with him, she does. She introduces herself as Ali and gets to know the other person’s name is Will. The two talk for a bit before Will leaves. Cassie follows him and clicks pictures of him picking up a package. Then she follows him to a hotel opposite the one where she had met him in the morning, where he checks in and, Cassie discovers his room number. She returns to her hotel and checks out a room across from Will’s hotel. She is scared when she sees Will having sex with a woman who has the same tattoo as her on her back.

She glimpses an exchange between Will and the tattooed woman and rushes to find out who the woman is. Megan makes a call at that exact moment and asks if Cassie got a key but, Cassie cuts her off. In front of her, Will catches a car that explodes, leaving the territory on fire. Cassie is affected by the explosion and has her hallucinations, although she is unable to see who this woman was. Cassie rushes to the hotel and immediately goes to bed, her mind slipping and, she is in another hallucinatory space where her former alcoholic self confronts her.

She wakes up to a call from Benjamin asking about Will, to which Cassie dishonestly answers. She plans to get ready to leave but cannot find her luggage except for her flight attendant’s clothes and learns at reception that her name has already been registered at the hotel. Cassie explains to reception that she didn’t check out, even though the receptionist claims to have seen Cassie, wearing sunglasses and checking out. During the flight, Cassie is traumatized by the explosion incident and tries to suppress her alcoholic urges.

Her fellow flight crew member, Grace, asks her to serve a drink at a particular seat which is occupied by a man Cassie had seen while looking into Will’s hotel room the night before. The man also vaguely recognizes Cassie but, she tries to push him away and go home. At her house, Annie and Max are present as they visit LA and Cassie is thrilled to see Annie wearing a ring on her engagement finger, even though Annie claims she is not engaged yet. The reuniting friends’ amusing conversation is interrupted by two officers, who ask Cassie to come down with them to the CIA station.

At the CIA office, Benjamin and Cassie are taken to speak to Benjamin’s boss, Dot, who informs Cassie that she did nothing technically wrong by being there during the crash. Dot and Cassie talk, where the latter tries to talk to the former about a woman who looked like Cassie with Will but, Dot pushes her away and asks her to be careful who she talks to. Leaving the office, Cassie sees the man in the robbery. At her house, Max asks her about a message she received addressed to her, from her, which reminds Cassie to call Megan quickly. However, Megan does not pick up and we see her spying on someone.

The air hostess season 2Cassie’s first episode ends with Cassie’s luggage being delivered to her doorstep. However, when she opens it to check, she finds things that don’t belong to her, as well as a blood-covered wig. Max and Annie are panicked and shocked as Cassie drops a speculative bombshell that someone is trying to impersonate Cassie.

The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 2: Mushrooms, Tasers and Bears, Oh My!

The second episode of The air hostess season 2 picks up right after, where Cassie reveals to Annie and Max about her work at the CIA. The three are extremely worried about the suitcase and the things in it. Marco joins the party at this time, but Cassie sends him to the bedroom and, on Annie’s advice, goes to bed to deal with ongoing issues in the morning, with Max’s help.

Cassie wakes up in the morning and reminisces, all of which point to Grace possibly being the one trying to sabotage Cassie. She puts her arguments in front of Annie and Max and, even suggests that she might visit Grace. However, both Annie and Max are opposed to the idea and Cassie seemingly quickly gives up on it. But later we see Cassie calling Grace for a meeting which Grace denies believing she has to cook. However, we see her walking out of her house after the phone call with Cassie, prompting her to follow Grace.

Cassie sees Grace exchanging packages with a man on the landing pad of a private jet. Afterwards, she heads to her AA meeting where her brother, Davy, also joins her as they celebrate Cassie’s sobriety for a year now. It’s a touching moment with Davey as an extra for Cassie’s big achievement, but the moment is followed by a text from Grace asking Cassie if she wants to hang out, to which Cassie replies in the affirmative. Before leaving, she asks Davey to join her for dinner but Jenny – who is an AA-obsessed person for Cassie – offers to take Davey out to dinner when he says he doesn’t want a fifth wheel at dinner.

Cassie visits Grace and snoops around her apartment when Grace is in the shower, which confirms that Grace may not be the suitor. Cassie even finds the package Grace received earlier and, it turns out, it’s Fetanayll-induced lollipops. Scared of herself, Cassie leaves Grace’s house with an excuse. Meanwhile, Davey’s lunch with Jenny comes with its own ups and downs. In the end, Jenny writes a friendship agreement with Davey.

Annie returns home from her disastrous interview at the law firm. But Max cheers him up with the progress on the view master slides that came in the suitcase he researched and, one of them is an Eco Lakes game in Los Angeles. The duo plan to meet Cassie there. But the trio, unfortunately, find nothing at the park. Although the public can see a blonde woman photographing them.

Annie, Max, Cassie and Marco are seen together at the next dinner party where they exchange words before Cassie mentions that she visited her friend Grace. This forces Annie to meet Cassie in the restroom and discuss the situation. Annie advised Cassie not to make any rash decisions. Meanwhile, Max advises Marco to get a head start, now that it’s been six months together. Outside the restaurant, Marco asks Cassie if he can move in with her. Before Cassie can answer, she receives a call from Megan’s son, who informs her that Megan has sent Cassie a message. Cassie is, of course, distraught when she receives the attacker.

In the first part of the episode, Megan was seen squishing poisonous mushrooms and dancing with, presumably, her new partner. But his associations and whereabouts are definitely unclear. The Flight Attendant season 2 episode 2 ends with Max and Annie finding the two strangers from episode one who secretly scanned Cassie’s bag in the apartment across from Cassie. They say they rented the place in Airb&b. However, we see that the original owners of the house are tied up inside in the closet.

The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 1 & 2: Final Thoughts

The air hostess season 2 starts with a bang but quickly becomes frizzy and stressful. The story is compelling and, the mystery really wants to keep you glued to the plot, but the building is so urgent and freaked out that it’s unexciting for so many moments. The first two episodes gave a nice build up and while the first season has an unbeatable plot, what we are dealing with in season two is still not bad.

Meanwhile, watching all of these characters return to the screen is endearing, from Cassie and Annie’s friendship, to Max’s goofiness, to the new characters Grace and Benjamin who are really cool. If the story happens at some point, it’s the characters that will stick to the show. But, yes, it’s too early for a verdict.
